Nieuws over de Dutch Junior Lions
Wide receiver Derrick Derah of the Netherlands has had a taste of higher-level competition practicing against senior-level players as a member of the Dusseldorf Panthers' junior program in Germany that produced current New England Patriots offensive lineman Sebastan Vollmer. Still, the invitation to participate with the Development Team spurred him to "get going" and train hard in order to be ready for the competition he would face in practice in Austin.
He also has a message for young football players around the world.
"People are not lazy here," Derah said. "I want to go home and tell people to keep working hard to become a better player. If you don't try you don't know what the outcome will be.
"Keep working hard and you'll get here."

The Dutch Junior national Team is focusing on qualifying games for the next European Junior Championship and head coach Marcel Meijerink tells his team: "If we improve each other, we will set our goals and we will reach out goals. Every game for this team should be treated like a championship game. If we lose, we are eliminated from qualification. Think about that each time you train."

Winst voor Junior Lions
De Junior Lions hebben hun eerste oefen wedstrijd met winst afgesloten. In een wedstrijd waarin de meeste spelers voor het eerst de 11 vs 11 variant gingen spelen en de coaching staff kon zien wat de spelers in drie trainingen hadden opgestoken. Was het voor iedereen een leerzame ervaring. De Lions kwamen niet soepel uit de start blokken zenuwen en spanning zorgde voor twee korte drives. Zowel door de defense en de specialteams kon de offence vrij snel weer het veld op komen met zeer gunstige veld positie. Dit resulteerde in een touchdown. Hierna kwamen de spelers steeds beter in de wedstrijd. De spelers hebben veel geleerd zo ook de coaching staff. De wedstrijd is uit eindelijk gewonnen met 47-00.
Dutch Junior Lions vs Allstar Eagles
Op zaterdag 29 oktober spelen de Junior Lions een oefenwedstrijd tegen de Allstar Eagles. Deze wedstrijd wordt gespeeld in Duitsland. Te Hanau
